M HOLLAND | 23,000 sf | Northbrook, IL
When M. Holland made the decision to renew a long term lease, the executive management team took the opportunity to renovate the space to reflect a more progressive image. The project centered around Transparency, both figuratively to reflect the company’s management style, and literally with the extensive use of glass. The design team from Baumann Studios replaced the drywall fronts to all the private offices with full height clear glass allowing natural daylight to penetrate into the interior work areas. A 1,500 square foot “Town Hall” space is surrounded by glass on three sides and functions as not only the lunchroom but also as a collaborative meeting space throughout the day. To further enhance the openness of the office all of the existing workstations with 70” high panels were replaced with new 54” high workstations.
